Advanced Beginning Fiddle

Instructor: Ed Pearlman

Continuing from the Beginning Level 2 class (but anyone’s welcome), we’ll be learning the second half of Tune Group 1 tunes – Mrs MacLeod of Raasay, Song of the Chanter, Wee Tod, Tenpenny Bit, Swallowtail, St Ann’s Reel, and reviewing the previous ones – Bonnie Tammie Scolla, Britches Full of Stitches, Put Me In A Box, Leaving Lismore, Hills of Lorne, and Spotted Pony.  You’ll also have access to Technique Video Group 2, which contains important ergonomic exercises.  We’ll review some of my special reading exercises allowing people to see and play note patterns, like speaking a language without translating first. There will be printable handouts and articles to read.

8 Tuesdays:  March 9 - April 27, 2021
