Mitch Reed was raised in the heart of Cajun and Creole music – Mamou and Lafayette, Louisiana, where he learned traditional fiddling from old masters, becoming an ambassador for Smithsonian Folk Life Programs by age 17. He has played and toured with many groups, including the great band Beausoleil. He won a Grammy and was nominated for 3 others.
